During the summer holiday, visitors flocked to Zili village in Kaiping, Jiangmen, Guangdong province, to admire the unique Diaolou that reflect the heritage of overseas Chinese culture.
Kaiping, a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese, is famous for its Diaolou—fortified multi-story towers blending Chinese and Western architectural styles. In June 2007, Kaiping Diaolou and Villages were inscribed on the World Heritage List.
