Kanbula UNESCO Global Geopark in Qinghai

Located in the Huangnan Tibetan autonomous prefecture, this newly designated geopark covers an area of over 3,100 square kilometers and boasts 162 geological heritage sites. It showcases rock formations from three major geological eras and preserves rare records of ancient magmatic activity.

Kanbula is now Qinghai’s second UNESCO Global Geopark, following the iconic Kunlun Mountains.
