A business delegation from the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) conducted economic and trade exchanges in Singapore and Malaysia from July 14 to 20‌.

The mission prioritized intelligent equipment and new energy industries, with the aim of advancing foreign investment project cooperation, demonstrating NETDA's proactive efforts to expand high-end manufacturing partnerships in Southeast Asia.

Upon arriving in Singapore, the business delegation held in-depth discussions with local marine engineering enterprises, visited the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association, and attended the Singapore Economic Association. At the event, they networked with key industry figures and listened to a speech by Senior Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong on global industrial opportunities and challenges.

In Malaysia, the team targeted the semiconductor and new energy sectors, visiting cutting-edge manufacturing enterprises and institutions‌. During these engagements, they promoted NETDA's industrial ecosystem, business-friendly environment, strategic location, policy incentives, and robust production-supporting infrastructure‌.

Foreign companies expressed strong interest in NETDA's investment environment following these presentations‌. Several firms scheduled follow-up visits to finalize project investments‌. This mission aligns with NETDA's intensified campaign this year to attract high-end manufacturing projects from key Southeast Asian markets through targeted overseas investment promotion‌.
