The Shaomai Food Season and the third Inner Mongolia Famous Snacks Cultural Week are being held at Saishang Old Street in Yuquan district, Hohhot, from July 19 to Aug 24.
Shaomai is the steamed dumplings rooted in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). This month-long celebration brings together culinary heritage, cultural exhibitions, and artistic experiences, aiming to elevate the reputation of "Hohhot Shaomai" as a regional culinary icon.

The event features a wide range of activities, including the opening ceremony, a Shaomai craftsmanship exhibition, an event for visitors to taste Shaomai, a giant Shaomai art installation, an innovative Shaomai-themed week, and the Inner Mongolia Famous Snacks Cultural Week. These activities are designed to showcase the region's rich culinary traditions and create an immersive cultural atmosphere for both residents and tourists.
