The Haier Sino-Germany Industrial Park, located in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, was recently recognized as one of China's first certified "Zero-Carbon Parks" by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC).

The recognition highlights the park's outstanding achievements in clean energy utilization, green manufacturing, and digital carbon reduction.

In recent years, the park has leveraged technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and 5G to enable real-time monitoring and digital management of its energy systems, improving and optimizing energy balance.

It has achieved an integrated energy utilization efficiency of over 80 percent and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 32,000 metric tons annually.

Certified under the Zero-Carbon Park Evaluation Technical Specification (T/CECA-G0344-2025), the park received a top-level three-star rating, showcasing its excellence in management systems, energy management, and carbon reduction.

The Qingdao FTZ will continue to implement China's dual-carbon strategy by scaling up zero-carbon parks and factories, promoting the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of manufacturing.
