Yantai, located in East China's Shandong province, has become the focal point of public attention as it played host to two consecutive film and television industry events on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

The 2025 China Film Directors' Night kicked off the festivities, setting the stage for a gathering of hundreds of film directors, producers, filmmakers, representatives from streaming platforms, actors, singers, and industry guests. Together, they witnessed a pivotal moment in Chinese cinema.

This year marked the second time the event was held in Yantai, primarily focusing on highlighting the cinematic achievements of 2024 and paying tribute to the fervent spirit of Chinese filmmakers. The event aimed to explore new avenues for film development and foster high-quality growth within the industry.

The following day saw the opening of the inaugural CMG China Micro-Drama Festival. The festival reviewed Chinese micro-dramas, with a focus on ideology and artistry, while also announcing several new micro-dramas.

In recent years, Yantai has leveraged its industrial advantages and actively collaborated with China Media Group (CMG). By harnessing the creative content, resource aggregation, and social credibility of the national media powerhouse, Yantai's cultural brand activities have further enhanced their visibility on the cultural map.
