Mongolia's Hunnu Air launched a new international charter flight route connecting Huangshan and Ulaanbaatar on July 7, with its E195 aircraft touching down smoothly at Huangshan Tunxi International Airport that evening.

The summer route operates weekly on Mondays. Flight MR897 departs Ulaanbaatar at 16:30 and arrives in Huangshan at 20:10, while return flight MR898 takes off from Huangshan at 21:10, reaching Ulaanbaatar at 0:50. It eases summer travel and boosts cultural, tourism and trade exchanges between the two cities.

This year, Huangshan Airport has expanded its international network by resuming or launching routes to Hong Kong, Incheon, Busan and Kuala Lumpur. In the first half, it handled 25,062 international passengers, a year-on-year increase of 492.6 percent. More routes to Qingzhou, Daegu, Bangkok and Hanoi are planned for the second half, targeting over 50,000 annual international travelers.

Supported by customs measures like 240-hour transit visa-free services and multilingual assistance at smart quarantine channels, the new route not only enhances connectivity but also builds an air bridge between China and Mongolia, facilitating the sharing of cultural and tourism resources and deepening economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.
