It's Minor Heat (xiao shu) among China's "24 solar terms". You can cool off with a glimpse of this exquisite Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) jade pot.
Carved from green jade with natural brownish mottling, this exquisite pot features a straight mouth and cloud-patterned half-ring handles on either side of its neck. Six layers of intricate motifs are rendered in relief and incised lines on the body, including lotus petals, leaves, and a winged dragon soaring above sea waves.
Elegant and noble, this jade piece was likely a treasure of the imperial court and is now housed in the Tianjin Museum.
