GWC official highlights strength of Yantai's wine tourism

Catherine Leparmentier, managing director of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network (GWC), highlighted Yantai's growing reputation as a wine tourism destination at the 2025 GWTO Enotourism Conference on July 3.

Wine has become deeply rooted in Yantai's local culture, forming a solid foundation for the city's ongoing development of wine tourism, she said.

She emphasized Yantai's strategic location and easy access – just a short flight from Beijing and Shanghai, with many Southeast Asian countries within four hours – making it easier to attract international wine tourists and enhance its global appeal.
