International ice hockey game held in Xi'an

The Youth Ice Hockey Friendly Match between Shaanxi province and the State of Wyoming from the United States was held on July 1 at Xi'an Chuangju Ice Snow Sports International Standard Ice Rink, bridging sports and cultural exchanges between teenagers from both regions.

At the opening ceremony, Liang Feng, deputy director of Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said, "Shaanxi province and Wyoming have been friendly since 2015. This match is a practice of the friendly relationship between the two sides, which will further enhance mutual understanding between youth from the two regions."

Players from the University of Wyoming, Laramie High School, and the Chuangju Ice Snow Qin Warriors ice hockey team staged a high-level match for the audience. Shen Yuhan, a Qin Warriors player, said after the game, "We met like-minded international friends through ice hockey and learned a lot of skills from them. I hope to keep in touch with them."

This match holds great significance in promoting the popularization and development of youth ice hockey projects in Shaanxi province. As one of the activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of the friendship between Shaanxi province and Wyoming, it provided a platform for sports and cultural exchange, inspiring Shaanxi teenagers' love and enthusiasm for ice hockey.

Shaanxi Chuangju Ice Snow Sports Culture Co will sign a memorandum of cooperation for an ice hockey friendly development strategy with the University of Wyoming's team, the sports center of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Xi'an Gaoxin No 1 High School. It will carry out cooperation in ice hockey talent cultivation, technical exchange, and event system construction, promoting the popularization and high-quality development of ice sports.
