The dance drama Tiangong Kaiwu (The Exploitation of the Works of Nature) will take the stage at the Zhuhai Grand Theatre on Dec 12 and 13. Based on Song Yingxing (1587-1666) and his renowned work, it vividly portrays his admiration for the wisdom and creativity of Chinese laborers.
Published in 1637, Tiangong Kaiwu is an encyclopedia that addresses a broad array of technical topics, including the use of various gunpowder-based weapons.
