Lin-gang Special Area hosted the International Conference on Medical Technology Collaboration 2025 on June 21.

Delegates from over 10 countries, including government agencies, research and clinical institutions, and industry enterprises, gathered to delve into cutting-edge topics such as strategies for the global spread of medical devices and the development of smart hospitals and digital healthcare.

During the event, the International Consortium for MedTech Industry-Academia Collaboration was established, with 19 Chinese units, including Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated with Fudan University, and 12 international universities and medical institutions from countries like Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Pakistan, coming together for joint development.

The consortium aims to foster global collaboration in talent cultivation, research commercialization, and international training.

Multiple cross-border medical technology cooperation agreements were signed between the Lin-gang Medical Device Innovation Center and universities and institutions in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, covering areas such as joint research, industry landing, hospital co-construction, and product internationalization.

Additionally, the Guidelines on the Selection of High-Quality Medical Devices from China (2025) were released, outlining pathways and standards for Chinese medical device companies to expand globally.

Lin-gang Special Area is accelerating its efforts to become a hub for international medical technology cooperation, with a focus on medical-engineering integration, talent attraction, and technological innovation.
