Cultural activity season opens in Hohhot

The opening performance of the "Song Tour of Inner Mongolia" Northern Frontier Cultural Activity Season was held at Hohhot Stadium on the evening of June 21. The kickoff event lasted for two days and was designed as both an artistic showcase and a public festival, with a strong emphasis on affordability. Ticket prices were kept between 9.9 ($1.4) and 49.9 yuan to ensure broad accessibility.

The performance on June 21 attracted an audience of more than 35,000 people. Among them was Ms Li, who secured two 49.9-yuan tickets. After watching the show, she expressed great satisfaction with the performance and said she hoped to have more opportunities to attend similar events in the future. 

The season will run from June 21 through Sept 26, with certain exhibitions and screenings continuing into October. The program consists of eight major components, including the opening performance, featured stage productions, cultural exhibitions, public participation activities, integrated cultural-tourism events, film screenings, a closing performance, and collaborative events organized by various leagues and cities across the region. 

The season features a total of 37 cultural events at the Inner Mongolia autonomous region level, along with 38 supplementary activities organized by local municipalities. This comprehensive programming aims to deliver diverse cultural experiences to residents throughout Inner Mongolia.
