Known for her soaring vocals and poetic lyrics, Sun has remained a dominant figure in Chinese-language pop music since her award-winning debut in 2000.

Her meteoric rise included six Golden Melody Award nominations for Best Female Singer and four for Best Album within two years of her debut, with her music becoming the soundtrack to younger generations.
