Fuzhou's Shangxiahang historical block hosted a Fujian intangible cultural heritage event in celebration of China's 2025 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day on June 14, gathering over 200 inheritors to showcase 79 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) items.

Visitors immersed in She ethnic costumes, Quanzhou's fire-dance and Ningde's string lion dance, while interactive bazaars offered handicrafts and local delicacies like "Rouyan" dumplings.

"It's amazing how tradition meets modern life!" exclaimed a tourist from Jiangxi province, holding Fuzhou jasmine tea and cork art souvenirs. "These affordable crafts are rich in culture — far more meaningful than sightseeing."

The event blended performances, themed exhibitions, and live commerce streams, demonstrating Fujian's innovative approach to ICH preservation through tourism integration.
