Xprinter wins tech award for smart thermal printing

Xprinter Group, based in Xiangzhou district, has won second prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award, hosted by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. The company was recognized for its project, "Key Technologies and Industrialization of Intelligent Perception and Processing in Thermal Printing Based on Cloud-Edge Collaboration."

Thermal printers are becoming smarter. With the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile connectivity, and big data, network and cloud printing, along with seamless integration with mobile devices, will become standard features.

Addressing challenges like high cloud service costs, printing delays, and data security risks, Xprinter developed a cloud-edge collaboration system. This system optimizes resource use and reduces costs in multi-cloud environments. It also offers low-latency printing and robust data protection, outperforming similar global solutions.

This award highlights Xprinter's significant breakthroughs in the digital and smart thermal printing field, providing core technology support for cloud transformation in logistics, healthcare, and new retail industries.
