A photography exhibition featuring Jinan's springs was held in Rennes, a city in western France, on June 9, attracting much attention from local residents and cultural figures.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Confucius Institute in Brittany and Jinan government, aiming to provide locals a chance to learn about Jinan's natural landscape and cultural heritage.
Jinan and Rennes established their sister-city relationship in 2002 and have since maintained active exchanges in various fields, including culture and education.
The exhibition was held at "Jinan Garden" located in a public park in Rennes. The choice of this location served as a symbol of the close friendship and cooperation between the two cities, said Blaise Thierree, director of the Confucius Institute in Brittany.
The garden, completed in 2024, is a landmark project that celebrates the friendship between Rennes and Jinan. It incorporates Jinan's unique spring culture and garden art, designed by both Chinese and French landscape artists.
