On May 28, the Guangxi Postal Administration granted the first international express delivery business license to YTO Express, marking a milestone for the China (Guangxi) Free Trade Zone. This is the first license of its kind issued locally within the FTZ under new national pilot reforms.

In March, China's State Post Bureau authorized Guangxi to handle international express licensing independently within the FTZ. This decentralization streamlines approval processes, cutting the licensing period from the statutory 45 working days to just 22, improving business efficiency by over 50 percent.

Enterprises registered in the Guangxi FTZ can now complete the full licensing process, including modifications, renewals, and annual reports, without leaving the region. The reform is expected to boost cross-border logistics capacity and support the growth of local express delivery services.

Since the policy shift, multiple logistics firms have expressed interest in launching international operations in Guangxi. Two additional license applications are currently under review.

By accelerating access to international delivery markets, Guangxi is positioning itself as a regional logistics hub and reinforcing its role in China's broader push for trade facilitation and high-level opening-up.
