Inner Mongolia signs manganese-silicon alloy project at Chengdu fair

A manganese-silicon alloy project from Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Xiliin Gol League was signed on May 25 at the 13th Western China Investment Promotion Fair, a key event of the 20th Western China International Fair in Chengdu.

The project involves an investment of 3.5 billion yuan ($486.11 million) and is scheduled for construction this year. It is designed to have an annual production capacity of 900,000 metric tons of manganese-silicon alloy.

Located in a region rich in renewable energy resources, the project is expected to strengthen the local industrial chain, boost related industries, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth in the area.
