The carbon-neutral research institutes of Ordos city and Tsinghua University jointly unveiled six major technological achievements on May 26.
These include a development roadmap and an intelligent management system for zero-carbon industrial parks, high-temperature alkaline water electrolyzer technology and equipment, as well as hydrogen safety and advanced in-station hydrogen production technologies for integrated hydrogen production and refueling stations.
They also include thermal management systems and intelligent control technologies for heavy-duty truck battery swapping, carbon dioxide hydrogenation for green paraxylene production, as well as green electricity-powered sodium metal electrolysis and related energy storage technologies.
Launched in February 2022, the Ordos-Tsinghua carbon neutrality collaborative initiative is led by the Ordos Carbon Neutral Research Institute. The project focuses on the full value chain of wind, solar, hydrogen, storage, and vehicles, aiming to address key technological bottlenecks in zero-carbon industrial park development, green electricity utilization, and hydrogen production equipment.
