Dalian walking festival attracts over 100,000 hiking enthusiasts

More than 100,000 hiking enthusiasts from over 20 countries and regions worldwide participated in the 23rd Dalian International Walking Festival, which kicked off in Dalian, Liaoning province, on May 17, 2025. [Photo by Wang Hua/for chinadaily.com.cn]

Guo Tiejun, head of the publicity department of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, stated that the festival has been successfully held for 22 editions, attracting over 4.3 million participants in total.

It has become a significant platform for showcasing the city's vitality and promoting international exchanges, he said.
