The award-winning dance drama Zhu Ziqing was staged at the Gengsu Theater in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on May 9. Produced by Yangzhou Song and Dance Theatre, it reimagines Zhu’s classics—Back View, Lotus Pond Moonlight, and Hastily—through dance. Zhu Ziqing (1898-1948), a renowned 20th-century essayist and poet, is remembered for his refined prose and unwavering patriotism, vividly brought to life on stage.
