The Palace of Nyuwa Scenic Spot is a huge architectural complex located in the northern part of the Taihang Mountains in Shexian county, Handan city, Hebei province.

Enjoying a history of more than 1,600 years, the Palace of Nyuwa was established in the Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-581) to pay tribute to Nyuwa, the mother goddess in Chinese mythology. Nyuwa is credited with creating mankind and saving the world from disasters. Covering 5 kilometers, it is also the largest complex of old buildings of its kind.

The main structure of the complex is made up of the four-story Wahuang Pavilion, which is 23 meters in height and stands next to the cliff supported by nine iron chains. Other highlights at the scenic spot include the Nyuwa cultural square and museums, as well as stone carvings of Buddhist scriptures dating back to its initial establishment.
