Star-studded lineup revealed for Ordos badminton challenge

The 2025 "City Cup" National Badminton Mixed Team Challenge will be held at Ordos city's sports development center gymnasium from May 9 to 11. 

This year's tournament promises a dazzling display of talent, with a lineup featuring world and national champions.

World champion He Hanbin is leading the charge, coaching the National Second Badminton Team, which includes national champions such as Chen Yongrui, Lin Xiangyi, and Zhou Xinyu. Another formidable contender is the National Youth Badminton Team, led by world champion Guo Zhendong and including rising stars Liu Siya, Sun Yifei, and Chen Junting.

In addition, a number of elite provincial and municipal teams – featuring world champions and national medalists like Zhang Yiman and Shang Yichen – are set to compete.

With a star-studded roster and fierce competition on the horizon, fans can expect an electrifying tournament as some of the best talents in Chinese badminton clash in Ordos.
