During the recent Labor Day holiday, hotel bookings and inbound tourist orders in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, saw year-on-year increases of 10 percent and 89 percent, respectively, according to the provincial government.

Harbin Airport transported 320,000 passengers during the five-day stretch, ensuring the takeoff and landing of 2,166 flights, representing a 4.5 percent and 0.3 percent year-on-year increase, respectively.

Domestic visitors mainly came from Beijing, Changchun in Jilin province, and Daqing in Heilongjiang, while international tourists came from South Korea, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and the Netherlands.

The holiday's most popular tourist destinations included Siberian Tiger Park, Harbin Polarland, Poseidon Underwater World, and the Songhua River Sightseeing Cableway.

Harbin Polar Park received over 15,000 tourists on the first day of the holiday.

The park debuted multiple new attractions, including a dazzling aurora glacier show, a romantic water dance show, a spectacular deep-sea wonder shark show, and the world's first 3D holographic dolphin show.

The Snow Rhyme Lilac Torch Square, which opened to visitors on May 1, became a popular tourist spot. It was once the cauldron site for the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin.
