Yueqing cross-border e-commerce exports surpass $54 million in single year

Yueqing's cross-border e-commerce hub at Yueqing Bay has exported 984 containers and over 470,000 parcels worth nearly 393 million yuan ($54.5 million) within a single year, marking rapid growth through the streamlined 9610 customs model.

The 9610 model — designed for online retail exports — offers faster, cheaper, and more flexible trade options. Yueqing Bay's site, the first of its kind in Zhejiang province and the only maritime express hub in the Yangtze River Delta region, mainly exports goods from Yiwu, Wenzhou, and surrounding cities, including electronics, apparel, and hardware.

"Goods cleared this morning will reach Taiwan consumers in just three to four days," said Wang Baimeng, general manager of Yueqing Port International Co. To speed up customs clearance, the site pre-registers shipments and inspection schedules with local customs, enabling near-instant processing.

The platform currently runs frequent shipping routes to Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand, boosting delivery speed and competitiveness. Future plans include expanding sea-air logistics to Europe and North America.

Supported by local authorities, the hub is attracting top exporters and logistics firms, aiming to cut costs, streamline services, and help local industries reach global markets.
