In celebration of its second anniversary and the upcoming May Day holiday, Panlong Tiandi in the Hongqiao International Central Business District has been decorated with striking paper art installations.

These artworks, created by renowned artist Chen Fenwan and her team, blend traditional Chinese paper-cutting with modern aesthetics.

The highlight of the exhibition is a 13-meter sculpture of a Buddha's hand, displayed on the water's surface. This and other intricate paper pieces create a captivating reflection, connecting the ancient and modern worlds.

The installations explore the relationship between paper art and the water towns of Jiangnan (the region south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River), offering a fresh take on this ancient craft.

Chen describes the water as a window to the world, with the paper art reflecting the timeless vitality of Jiangnan, illustrating the rebirth of traditional techniques.

The event also features a waterside market, providing visitors with a unique blend of shopping and cultural experiences.
