German North Rhine-Westphalia enterprises explore Nantong

Representatives of more than 10 German institutions in China and executives of multinational corporations and hidden champions from Germany convened in Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, on April 23.

This meeting aims to enhance cooperation and exchange between Nantong and North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in the areas of economy, technology, and industry.

During the event, a Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area representative introduced NETDA's industrial layout, policy advantages, and investment environment. Executives from North Rhine-Westphalia enterprises shared their experiences and plans in the Chinese market.

The cooperation between Nantong and Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia has a long history, and fruitful results have been achieved in economic and trade cooperation.

As of now, there are 107 investment projects from Germany in Nantong, with globally renowned multinational companies from North Rhine-Westphalia such as Bayer and Lanxess. Nantong has invested in 24 projects in Germany, with a total investment of $168 million.
