It is the fifth ro-ro vessel to embark on its maiden voyage from Yantai Port, accelerating the cultivation of new quality productive forces in shipbuilding and the auto manufacturing industry, thus contributing to overseas shipments for the high-end manufacturing industry.
Driven by soaring shipping demand for commercial vehicles, many international shipping companies have turned to Chinese shipyards for new vessel orders. Adeptly responding to market demands, Yantai Port has combined its strengths in high-end offshore manufacturing with multiple ro-ro services. This synergy has allowed for the export and international transit of China-made new energy vehicles, leading to mutual efforts in maiden voyages and auto exports. This approach has enabled the port to provide supply chain solutions, linking the global automotive supply chain with the shipbuilding industrial chain.
To date, Yantai Port has opened 16 domestic and international ro-ro services, serving more than 50 auto brands and seamlessly connecting over 30 countries and regions in North America, South America, East Africa, West Africa, Southeast Asia and Europe.
