The 19th International Symposium on Fireworks and the First Hunan (Liling) Fireworks Industry Expo began Monday in Liling county, Hunan province.
Government and business representatives, industry experts, distributors and buyers from over 60 countries, including the United States, France and Germany, gathered to explore high-quality development in the fireworks industry.
The event will run through Friday. The exhibition covers 30,000 square meters with 288 booths. It showcases global fireworks products, manufacturing machinery, raw materials and cutting-edge innovations.
The opening ceremony featured a daytime fireworks display, blending light, sound and visual effects across four themed segments. The immersive show demonstrated advancements in pyrotechnic artistry. A highlight was the 2025 Global Liling Fireworks Showcase, where fireworks and firecrackers were presented in a runway-style exhibition. The expo bustled with activity as international buyers and exhibitors from countries like the US, Canada and Norway conducted discussions and transactions.
As one of China's four major fireworks production hubs and the hometown of firework pioneer Li Tian, Liling boasts a 1,400-year legacy in the industry. Its integrated cluster spans machinery manufacturing, safety-certified chemical production, trade and logistics.
With over 4,000 products across nine categories sold to 150 countries, Liling excells in firecrackers, combination fireworks, fountain fireworks and small aerial shells.
