The "Qilu No 1" tourism train debuted in Shandong on April 10, making it easier for domestic and international tourists to explore the province.
The train passes through 35 stations in 16 cities throughout the province, connecting numerous famous attractions. In Yantai, the train stops at two stations – Laiyang and Taocun.
Yantai has meticulously curated a special carriage on the train. Intangible cultural heritage items such as Yantai paper-cutting, Jiaodong huabobo, Yantai apples, and Laiyang pear paste are presented to passengers as a gateway into the city's culture.
The train's dining car offers passengers an immersive experience of Shandong cuisine, including local specialties such as Fushan fried noodles.
In response to the new train service, attractions in Yantai such as Penglai Pavilion, Mu's Manor, and the Changyu Wine Culture Museum will launch promotional activities to attract visitors.
