Qilu No 1 tourism train sets off from Jinan

The first Qilu No 1 tourism train departed from Jinan Railway Station on the morning of April 10, officially launching an exciting journey to discover Shandong.

This unique train has been transformed from a classic green train carriage, with upgraded comfort and accessibility.

Infused with Shandong's rich cultural elements, it integrates sightseeing, dining, accommodation, shopping, and entertainment, thus making it a mobile tourism destination in and of itself.

Inside the train, passengers will find an experience that defies the traditional perception of green trains.

The transformation of these once-idle green trains into vibrant tourist attractions shows the innovation in railway tourism.

Beyond the onboard experience, the Qilu No 1 train connects more than 170 4A/5A scenic spots, and over 340 starred hotels and boutique homestays along its route, offering exclusive discounts to passengers.

The train operates on three travel routes: Jinan Railway Station to Zaozhuang West Station (K8281), Zaozhuang West Station to Weihai Railway Station (K8282/3), and Weihai Railway Station to Jinan Railway Station (K8286/7).

With this innovative initiative, rail transport in Shandong is being redefined, offering visitors a richer experience of the province's heritage and landscapes.
