On March 28, the original drama Spring Dawn on Su Causeway graced the stage at the Chengdu Gaoxin Zhongyan Grand Theatre. Cheers, laughter, and tears filled the air as audiences passionately called for an encore!
As the spectacular opening show of the 2025 Chengdu Zhongyan Theatre Festival, this National Theatre of China production brought the legacy of great poet Su Shi (1037-1101) to life in his hometown. With a nonlinear narrative, Song Dynasty (960-1279) aesthetics, and stunning landscape projections, it immersed the audience in a poetic world of history and emotion.
