The archaeological report on the No 7 sacrificial pit of the Sanxingdui site has recently been released, offering a comprehensive look at its excavation findings. The approximately rectangular pit contains a fill layer, an artifact layer and an ash layer from top to bottom.
There are 387 artifacts identified in the fill layer, including fragments of pottery, jade, bronze and gold. The upper part of the artifact layer is dominated by ivory, while beneath lay stunning bronze and jade relics.
