At the Huize Agrivoltaic Livestock Park in Banqiao town, Linze county, Zhangye, Gansu province, rows of standardized cattle sheds are neatly arranged. The distributed photovoltaic arrays installed on the rooftops and supporting structures of four standardized agrivoltaic cattle sheds, with a total installed capacity of 4.3 megawatts, shine brilliantly under the sunlight.

Electric current flows through 11 inverters into transformers before being continuously fed into the national power grid, generating over 6.8 million kilowatt-hours annually with an annual revenue exceeding 2.8 million yuan ($385,000). The standardized cattle sheds are clean and bright, where staff carefully tend to over 1,000 beef cattle approaching market readiness.

This initiative has forged a new green development path where electricity generation and livestock breeding coexist harmoniously, achieving both ecological and economic benefits simultaneously.

According to sources, Linze county in Gansu province has vigorously implemented distributed photovoltaic power generation projects, currently reaching an installed capacity of 22 megawatts, with an annual electricity generation exceeding 30 million kilowatt-hours.
