The 2025 summer-autumn aviation season starts March 30 and finishes Oct 25. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has arranged 222,000 flights, an increase of 63,000 flights compared to the season last year, ranking seventh for planned flights in the country.
China's aviation system makes two flight schedule adjustments every year. The summer-autumn flight schedule lasts from the last Sunday of March to the last Saturday of October. The adjustment is based on passenger travel plans and cyclic characteristics and is designed to adapt to other countries' daylight savings times.
In the 2025 summer-autumn aviation season, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport will add and restore 20 destinations, including Yanji, Liuzhou, and Pu'er, for a total of 153 cities nationwide. There will also be flights to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen every hour.
The airport plans to operate 34 international routes with 20 daily flights. In Southeast Asia, it will cover high-demand routes to Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Singapore. In Japan and South Korea, it will cover major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul. It will also connect to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Vladivostok in Russia, Hong Kong, and Macao.
Intercontinental routes include flights to London, Paris, Sydney, Milan, Budapest, and Minsk.
Xi'an Xianyang International Airport will also upgrade the transfer service and establish entertainment products such as arranging events at the T5 museum and library afternoon tea. Transfer passengers can follow the WeChat account of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Service Platform for more details.
