Check out this Warring States Period (475-221 BC) bronze drum base from Shanxi Museum's collection.
Consisting of three coiled snakes, the base is adorned with intricate relief depicting figures, snakes, oxen, sheep, monkeys and mythical birds. As the largest and heaviest bronze drum base ever discovered in China, it seems to resonate with the rhythm of ancient drumbeats, sending its blessings for the new year!
