The Wings mansion is one of the Twenty-eight mansions of the Chinese constellations, sixth of the seven southern mansions, residing in the wings of the Vermilion Bird constellation and symbolizing blessings and positive energy.
As depicted by the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) painted sculpture from Jincheng Yuhuang Temple Painted Sculpture and Mural Museum in Shanxi, the mansion is associated with fire and snakes. This fascinating figure reflects the combination of Chinese mythology and astronomy and stems from people's reverence for the stars and the natural world.
