The Lin-gang Special Area Administration in Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and Shanghai CEO Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd on March 20.

Chen Jinshan, director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, stated that the administration will continue to strengthen cooperation with ECUST, CEO Environmental, and other universities and enterprises, to support technology transfer and new energy pilot projects.

Through this agreement, Lin-gang Special Area Administration, ECUST, and CEO Environmental will jointly establish a comprehensive industrial chain collaboration system that covers research, development, production, bunkering, and application of new energy in international shipping. Additionally, they will jointly promote the construction of the Lin-gang base of a national key laboratory of chemical engineering and low-carbon technology, and support the development of a green ship fuel bunkering service center.

ECUST is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Its disciplines in chemistry, materials science and engineering, and chemical engineering and technology have been selected for the national first-class discipline construction list. The university is home to a national key laboratory of chemical engineering and low-carbon technology and other national-level research platforms.

CEO Environmental is a national specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise specializing in energy-saving and carbon-reduction technology equipment, integrated dual-carbon services, and advanced clean energy technologies.
