Intangible cultural heritage gala held in Hefei

Elmonzer Magdi Elamin Gibril, an international student in Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, enjoyed a gala featuring the province's intangible cultural heritage items on Saturday night.

After a performance, Gibril remarked about the beauty on display.

Outside the performance hall, dozens of exhibition stands offered hands-on experiences with the intangible cultural heritage.

"The event combines cultural heritage with technology, and I think it's very novel," said Wang Xixi, a gala attendee.

This year marked the third consecutive year of the gala. Anhui has 99 national-level intangible cultural heritage items, many of which were featured.
