In the ancient village of Gulongwan in Linwu county, Hunan province, a series of folk activities were held on Saturday to celebrate the traditional festival known as "Dragon Head Raising Day".
The celebrations are performed on eryue'er, the second day of the second lunar month, which is also known as longtaitou, or Dragon Head Raising Day. They include dragon worship ceremonies and the bench dragon dance, all aimed at preserving and promoting the region's deep cultural heritage.
Gulongwan village boasts a history of over 700 years and frequently organizes unique events to display its roots.
