Wielding the club of tariffs will not make America great

As a familiar face returned to the White House, the club of tariffs is once again being wielded against China. But this time, China is not the only target, with US’ European allies and neighbors like Mexico and Canada also not immune. The US levied a 10 percent tariff on Chinese goods in February, and 25 percent on Canadian steel and aluminum products. It is expected to announce tariffs on timber, cars, semi-conductors and pharmaceuticals next month. Honestly, to revive the manufacturing, you cannot depend on tariffs.
