Yangqu County Medical Group's "5G+ Healthcare Application" project and four other 5G+ healthcare application pilot projects in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, recently passed evaluation by national authorities.

The relevant departments will summarize the pilot experiences, strengthen promotion efforts, and push for large-scale development.

Following expert reviews and recommendations by the provincial departments of industry and information technology, health, and communication management, these projects were approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission.

The Yangqu County Medical Group's "5G+ Healthcare Application" pilot project, which relies on China Telecom's 5G technology, has constructed various 5G remote medical applications, such as consultations, ICU monitoring, surgical guidance, and ultrasound.

It can connect to large hospitals inside and outside the province, such as Beijing 301 Hospital, and health service stations at township and town levels. This allows more patients to enjoy high-quality medical resources and promotes the tiered diagnosis and treatment goals of "primary diagnosis at the grassroots level, two-way referrals, separation of acute and chronic diseases, and cooperation between hospitals at different levels."
