Enjoying ice and snow activities in Hohhot during this year's Spring Festival has become a new holiday trend and a popular way to celebrate.

Hohhot's renowned Mazongshan Ski Resort has planned a series of events for this snow season. Running until Feb 28, the resort offers 14 ski trails and highlights four key features: festive celebrations, competitions, fun activities, and special discount events.

"A large number of visitors are families, making up nearly half of the total," said Yang Qian, manager of the branding and promotion department at Mazongshan Ski Resort. "During the Spring Festival holiday, the resort saw a peak number of visitors, with an average of over 3,000 guests per day in the past two days. To enhance the visitor experience and ensure safety, we have deployed more than 10 dedicated safety management staff members to the slopes."

Beyond the ski resorts, Hohhot offers a variety of exciting ice and snow festival activities. At the Dahei River Military Culture Park, intricately designed ice and snow sculptures complement the vibrant red lanterns, creating a festive atmosphere.

The park features stunning ice sculptures of the Great Wall, a maze, Wuta Temple, and the White Pagoda, all meticulously crafted by skilled artisans. Snow mounds serve as natural slides for children, who laugh and play with endless joy. Activities like snow tubing and snow tanks allow visitors to embrace the thrill of winter sports.
