'Magical China' lantern festival celebrates culture, development of Hebei

To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, a lantern festival has kicked off on Wednesday in Tangshan, North China's Hebei province, creating a strong festive atmosphere for tourists and residents.

Themed "Magical China", the lantern festival will run until March 1 at the city's Nanhu Lake Scenic Area, featuring colorful lantern displays with different themes.

A variety of festive activities will also be held, including light shows and drone displays, showcasing diverse traditional customs and the development of the country and the city of Tangshan.
