In 2024, the Taizhou section of the Yangtze River saw 460,100 vessel movements, a 12.9 percent year-on-year increase. The total cargo throughput reached 496 million metric tons, up 13.97 percent year-on-year. The port successfully managed 3,400 operations involving ultra-large vessels, contributing nearly 330 million yuan ($45.3 million) in additional revenue for enterprises.

The Taizhou Yong'an Port, a key grain transshipment hub serving major grain and oil enterprises in the region, has already surpassed 700,000 tons of cargo throughputs this year.

Zeng Jian, general manager of Yong'an Port, reported that in 2024, the port handled 13.28 million tons of cargo, an increase of 2.23 million tons (20.19 percent) compared to the previous year. Of this, foreign trade cargo throughput reached 6.8 million tons, an increase of 800,000 tons (13.3 percent).

The robust performance underscores Taizhou's growing role as a vital logistics hub along the Yangtze River, supporting regional economic development and international trade.
