Maoming specialty agricultural products showcased in Beijing

More than 170 agricultural products from Maoming, Guangdong province, were showcased on Friday at a promotional event held in Beijing. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Among the region's specialties, Huajuhong is a type of peel collected from pummelo trees, which are widely grown in the city and used in traditional Chinese medicine. "Huajuhong tea has a unique taste, with a refreshing sweetness," said a visitor.

Maoming has developed a complete Huajuhong industry chain, with 1,543 companies involved in planting, processing and sales.
