NETDA places 21st in national development rankings

The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) secured the 21st spot in the 2024 national ranking of comprehensive development levels for state-level development zones, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce on Jan 3.

This marks the second consecutive year that NETDA has achieved this ranking.

Last year was a significant milestone for NETDA, celebrating its 40th anniversary. Over the past four decades, the area has attracted more than 1,000 foreign-invested enterprises, with a total investment exceeding $30 billion. Among these are over 90 Fortune Global 500 companies. NETDA accounts for more than a quarter of Nantong's total foreign enterprises and utilizes foreign capital, establishing itself as a vibrant hub for international business.

This year, NETDA plans to enhance its investment promotion efforts further, aiming to exceed 100 billion yuan ($13.65 billion) in regional GDP and striving to break into the top 20 national development zones in overall development rankings.
