The original dance drama Wang Yangming took center stage in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on Wednesday, as part of the 2024 Colorful Guizhou Cultural & Arts Festival.
Produced by the Guizhou Song and Dance Theatre, this stunning performance delves into the spiritual journey of enlightenment of Wang Shouren (1472-1529), more commonly known as Wang Yangming, a great philosopher during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), in Guizhou, brought to life through the power of dance.
