New tech-packed trains enhance Guangzhou's urban transit

Guangzhou Metro Group and CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd jointly unveil their latest green intelligent urban rail vehicles in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, on Monday. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

They utilize various new energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, allowing them to achieve energy savings of over 15 percent compared to traditional vehicles with asynchronous traction systems.

The trains have OLED windows, hearing-impaired assistance, intelligent temperature and dehumidification control, smart lighting adjustment and USB/wireless charging.
